Under the Sky100 Bursary Project you are invited to apply!

In an endeavour to answer South Africa’s need for corporate organisations to play a significant role in job creation and skills distribution, Qhumisa Research Consulting and ICT Solutions in partnership with QAS Aviation Academy together developed the SA SKY100 Bursary project.

SA SKY100 is aimed at affording the “untouched” Youth of South Africa the opportunity to join the exciting world of aviation and be trained as Cabin Crew.

It is the vision of QAS and Qhumisa to empower the Youth of South Africa with knowledge of the Aviation Industry, thereby increasing their chances of not only local but also international employment.

The training provided to successful candidates will be after their relevant talent has been established and those who are in possession of Grade 12. The candidates must be physically and medically fit in order to participate in a range of training requirements, which are Safety Emergency Procedures, Aircraft Evacuation Drills, Fire Fighting, Wet Ditching, Aviation Medicine, Dangerous Goods and various soft skills training.

The total bursary package is worth R25, 000.00 including accommodation for the 8 week duration of the training and successful candidates will go onto obtaining SA CAA Cabin Crew licences.

On successful completion of the training, the candidates will have further options in choosing a career path and specialising in Aviation Medicine, Safety and Security, Dangerous Goods and Tourism.

- 1 page motivational letter
- 1 page letter explaining why you want to go into aviation
- Copy of Identity Docmument
- 1 full length photo
- 1 half length photo

    I am a first class graduate in aerospace engineering and I had only chance to work for On Job Training programme.My country had not given me chance to work in aviation sector since 2003 and I am working in automobile area as Instructor.I would like to continue my study in aviation safety and would like to know the procedure for the bursary application.
