The correctional services internship gives an opportunity for anyone who wants to have more experience, skills, knowledge, and attitude around the DCS. The DCS (Department of Correctional Services) often gives the chance from any South African that wants to dedicate their life to provide service for their country. The South African whose age is between eighteen and thirty-five years old can apply to the Internship. There will be a lot of place for the Interns to be placed; most of them usually are placed in the head office, regions, and management area. The applicants for the internship are advised to take their correctional services internship on the area that is closest to their home.
There is a number of correctional services internship that is available, and the requirements for each field of internship are also different from each other. For the human resource management internship, for example, the applicants should have a diploma or degree in human resource management. For the Law enforcement, the Internship candidates should have a diploma or degree in Law or LLB. If the applicants have a diploma or degree in the field of electrical, mechanical, civil, industrial, or architectural, they can be considered to join the correctional services internship in engineering area.
They require the correctional services internship applicants that are going to join the Internships to be committed to the job even though they are just an Intern. The Department of Correctional Services works around people to support them and help to develop the Republic of South Africa to be much better. Different diploma and degree are placed on different area of Internship in order to make the Interns work as best as they could and applied what they have studied according to their educational background. The correctional services internship gives great opportunity for South African to develop themselves and the country.
