Not only that, this learnership program will also give you enough money per month for twelve months of service. The Department of Correctional Services gathers the applicants who are coming from several clubs, activities, hobbies, and interest to enroll in their correctional services learnership program. The trainees of this program are going to help people who offend the law in different ways and help to rehabilitate them to achieve safe and secure environment.
The qualification for the correctional services learnership is quite many. One of them is that the applicants should have a strong character in them that would help much in doing their job. They may not as well have any criminal records in the database. Furthermore, the applicants should be South African who has a Grade 12 or Standard 10 certificate. The National Certificate in Vocational majors or the NQF Level 4, or Education and Training Certificate or the NQF or Level 4 should also be achieved first. The diploma or degree is also really helpful for the applicants. The many requirements to be fulfilled are in attempt to find the right trainees for correctional services learnership that will help giving any contribution to the country.
The program of correctional services learnership is consisted of theory and workplace phase. Thirty percent of the program, more or less, is given in theory. The theory given is more the instructional learning kind, such as how to use firearm. They will also have physical activities, and get some training for self-defense act. These instructional learning theories will be given in some accredited Department of Correctional Services University. The rest of the program, which means the other seventy percent of it, is the workplace phase. In this phase, the trainees will work to rehabilitate and provide security to the offenders at the Correctional and Social Reintegration Centre/Units. After working for twelve month in correctional services learnership, the trainees will receive FET certificate.

I would really like to know for how long should we wait before we can expect a feedback from the learnership, we applied a lot in the past before we never received any response, as it is we a little anxious of the outcome, we just waiting 4 dat call 2 b called 4 dat interview, can somebody help here with how the process works.
we at the township we here things last,there is nothing that is happening for the unemployed.i have been applying for learnerships for the past 8 years.there was no reply what so ever,i dont have money to further my studies.there are no centers that offer free courses.if u know about those centers can you please give me the information please.
I don’t remember which news but it said that the correctiönal service post was extended does this mean more opportunity or not the right people are found for these learnership.The waiting is too much.
