Requirements:
Hons degree in Human Science/Industrial Psychology
· 5 years experience in Human Resources Management and Development.
· Minimum 3 years people management experience managing HR Generalist
· Experience in Out Sourced consulting
· Experience in constructing training plans and driving employee performance
· Experience in managing a specialist team
· Excellent Computer Skills and experience (Microsoft) and Learner Management Systems
· Working knowledge of South African Labour Relations Acts (LRA, BCoE, EE, BBBEE)
Experience in OD and change management
Job Specification:
Strategy Consultation
· Design the 1-3 year integrated People Management Strategy suited to Dealer environments; ensuring integration of Group South Africa business objectives / learning and development priorities.
· Align the offering to best practices and market related costing to define the PDC Value Proposition for Dealers and ensure regular benchmarking.
· Propose and / or source the appropriate costing models for PDC Value proposition and recommend same to Training Academy and Brands Management.
· Promote and communicate the PDC Value Proposition for Dealers; ensuring alignment to Group Dealer Franchise Agreements / Standards.
· Integrate PDC offerings with Dealer Management Strategic objectives to support people performance objectives promoting a learning organisation.
· Design and communicate the standard annual people management activities and legislative compliance deadlines.
Specialist HR Consultation
· Design and / or source, in consultation with PDC Team, the required HR Specialist practises to be implemented in dealerships viz Recruitment and Selection, Induction and On-boarding, Training and Development, Performance Management; Succession Planning, Reward and Recognition Practices, Retention Practices, Employee Engagement and Relations Practices.
· Design and / or source, in consultation with PDC Team HR Policies and Processes for utilisation in Dealerships; align to Dealer requirements within legislative framework.
· Ensure that all new specialist HR Practices are piloted; evaluated and corrective actions implemented prior to further rollout in Dealerships.
· Provide PDC Functions to selected Dealer Network in order to maintain skills, keep abreast of PDC functionality and identify opportunities for promoting and enhancing the PDC Value Proposition.
Reporting and Steering Committee Management
· Design and / or source appropriate management information reports for Dealerships.
· Analyse information / trends and make recommendations to Dealerships / Training Academy / Brand Managers.
· Prepare and present relevant information to stakeholders as per defined forums.
· Encourage the use of management information reports in Dealerships in support of PDC functions.
· Attending Management, HR Forum, Field Staff, Departments and Training Academy meetings. Communication thereof to PDC’s
Facilitate Dealer Training and Development Participation:
· Support Dealers in the annual training identification and needs analysis process.
· Engage with dealers and stakeholders to scope and deliver on specific dealership training needs.
· Promote and communicate Training Academy offerings; especially Certification Programs, compliance programs, systems programs and any related performance and process improvement programs.
· Coach and train dealer personnel on the use and management of the i-Learn system to book training.
Build Dealer Capacity:
· Facilitate working groups/teams/brain storming sessions to increase people performance and efficiencies
· Coach, mentor and guide dealership management with regard to management and leadership skills
· Ensure that Dealer Principals and managers manage the effectiveness of SABA (i-learn) system
· Ensure compliance with Dealer Operating Standards and use feedback from Dealer Metrics as indicators for development/capacity building areas
People Management
· Ensure appropriate staffing of department to deliver on objectives.
· Assign individual KPIs to staff and ensure delivery on targets within agreed timeframes and monthly reporting of same.
· Coaching and mentor PDC Team on required HR specialist practices.
· Manage the annual performance appraisal process with all staff, identify appropriate training and development opportunities and ensure regular feedback is provided.
Project Management
· Manage and co-ordinate allocated projects according to standard project management principles viz. Scope project, allocate resources, define milestones, ensure communication to stakeholders, document key findings, evaluate results and close out project.
· Participate on projects as and when requested; executing output as per assigned project role.
Budget Management
· Ensure compilation of annual budget as per company guidelines and time frames.
· Manage all related income and expenses accurately against correct General Ledger accounts and actively manage annual opportunities to increase Training Academy Revenue.
· Review and quality assure the monthly Dealer Billings.
· Ensure adherence to Purchasing Guidelines in processing Purchase Orders and engagements with Suppliers.
· Check actual budget against forecasts monthly and follow through on corrective actions.
· Ensure the preparation and management of annual set ups.
Customer Relationship Management
· Build and maintain professional and effective relationships with Dealer Personnel, Suppliers /Service Providers and preferred Training Bodies.
· Review and act on evaluations and feedback from Dealer Personnel, Suppliers / Service Providers and preferred Training Bodies.
· Collate and prepare management information reports for review / presentation to appropriate forums.
· Promote a positive working relationship with internal and external customers and service providers.
Process Management
· Ensure all specialist HR processes are accurately documented with appropriate work flows and work instructions and communicate this to relevant personnel.
· Ensure annual updates of all processes and alignment to internal Quality Management System.
· Ensure annual updates of e-content on internal web pages and Dealer Portals
Provide Consultation Services to PDCs :
· Provide coaching on specialist HR Consultation Services to Dealers.
· Consult on and advise on the collation and submission of Employment Equity
· Consult on and advise on the collation and submission of Workplace Skills Plans (WSP) and Annual Report (ATR) and ensure consultation through appropriate Forums
· Consult on and advise dealership with Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) scorecard
· Consult on and advise and assist dealerships with industrial relations (IR) matters
· Consult on and provide feedback on climate surveys and assist with action plans
· Consult on and assist dealer in selection of all management as well as critical positions in line with HR plan
· Assist with assessments for new candidates; assessments for candidates as per Dealer Standards requirements
· Provide and / or assist with feedback on assessments and drawing up of develop plans
· Consult on and / or source placement opportunities for Learnership and cadets
